Hardy, small tree traditionally grown as a leaf curry spice and Ayurvedic medicinal herb, also known as Sweet Neem.
Useful as an aromatic ornamental shade and screening tree that has proven hardy in dry conditions when mature. Plant in your forest garden, orchard or in a pot for easy access for fresh leaves for Indian and Sri Lankan dishes.
Edible fruit but avoid eating seeds. Self-pollinating, prefers fertile soils to perform best. Low maintenance but can root sucker.
