Delicate climbing plant needing a trellis or tree to grow up. An important bush food plant, highly sought after by aboriginal
people.

The 75mm green pear-like fruit of this plant is eaten unripe or cooked in hot earth.

The centre is full of clusters of seeds which are eaten raw have a sweet nutty flavour. Grows best in red soils. Sometimes known as Bush Banana.
