A small , compact herbaceous plant that provides a lush and edible ground cover. The plant has small round green leaves
which can be eaten raw, in curries or in drinks. It is a medicinal herb for arthritis.

The herb produces pink to reddish flowers and is best planted under larger shrubs or around ponds with moist micro-climates.
