Vigna unguiculata ssp. sesquipedalis
Sow Spring – Summer.
Sometimes called Asparagus Pea or Yard Long Bean. This variety is shade and heat tolerant, but not cold tolerant.
Bean pods up to 500mm should be regularly harvested when young and tender. It can be eaten as a fresh or dried bean.
