Red and white seeded climbing variety is heat and shade tolerant. It needs hot weather to produce and likes some shade on extra hot days.
Bean pods up to 600mm should be regularly harvested when young and tender. They can be eaten fresh in salads or steamed. Snake bean have a delicious sweet asparagus like flavour.
