Perennial herb that grows up to 1 metre, with very aromatic flowers and leaves. Mostly commonly planted in the garden as a companion plant to repel insects from crops such as potatoes and cucurbits.
It has attractive dark green, fern like foliage and has clusters of flowers that are like small yellow buttons and make wonderful long lasting cut flowers. Traditionally cultivated for its medicinal and use as a dye.
