Subtropical Asian herb, prostrate and sprawling in form with fleshy hairy leaves and stems. Prefers a warm, and moist position in your garden or in a pot in a protected area away from strong sunlight and cold weather. Suitable as an indoor plant.
Used medicinally as a herb for treatment of sore throats, headaches and a calming tea for treatment of indigestion and sleeplessness.
The leaves can also be finely chopped as a flavoring herb in dishes including casseroles, soups, stir fries and dips.
