    Cucumis melo

    Vigorous bushy plant rather than a running vine. Fruit have a delicious balanced flavour. Fruit are 100-125mm round with deep orange flesh. They are suitable for one person, one meal.

    Grown for it’s tender, crisp, oyster shaped heart and leaves which are best cooked in stir fries. Cool night temperatures are best for heading. Full sun during winter is best as the high light intensity encourages tight heading.

    Allium cepa

    Brown skinned onion with good keeping qualities. Best sown in a tray covered with ~5mm soil. Transplant seedlings when stems 3-6mm thick and only cover up to the small white part of the stem with soil. Onion varieties grown at the same time will cross.

    Orange skin with orange flesh. Fruit shaped like a pawpaw. Nutty sweet flavour. Medium sized climber. Exhibits good disease and mildew resistance. Can be grown through the winter in warmer climates. Does not like hot weather.

    Sometimes known as the Yard Long Bean, this climbing variety is heat tolerant but best grow in part shade in hot dry regions.
    It is not cold tolerant. Harvest pods when young and tender. Beans can be eaten steamed or stir fried.

    This vigorous red seeded variety is shade and heat tolerant providing it is kept moist. Bean pods up to 400mm should be regularly harvested when young and tender.
    It can be eaten fresh in its pod or harvested after drying on the vine as a dried bean.

    Vigna unguiculata ssp. sesquipedalis

    Red and white seeded climbing variety is heat and shade tolerant. It needs hot weather to produce and likes some shade on extra hot days. Young pods harvested when young and eaten fresh in salads or steamed. Snake bean have a delicious sweet asparagus like flavour.

Postage

All orders under 100 packets are delivered by Australia Post - Express. Minimum postage cost is $11.

Postage and handling are calculated at checkout.

For order over 100 packets - postage will be confirmed upon confirmation email of your order.

Postage and handling will not be charged for local pickups.

Seeds per Packet

The number of seeds per packet is displayed next to the varieties' SKU code.

We look to provide enough for gardeners for a number of seasons. Some seeds are very small and are hand counted rather than weighed, and some variation in actual seeds per packet may occur.

Pay Options

We accept payment for on-line orders through Direct Deposit or Cheque/Money Order.

Sorry we do not accept on-line credit card payments.

Upon receipt of your order we will confirm that we have stocks to meet your order and provide you with payment details.

For local pickup orders we have eftpos facilities.

 

Bulk Orders

We do not accept bulk orders due the limitations of the size of our gardens. 

Some varieties may have limits in regards to the number of packets you can purchase.

This is dependent on our current stock and what we are currently growing/harvesting in our gardens.

We will confirm quantities upon receipt of your order.
